Discipline and Code of Conduct at Pooja College of Education
In order to attain goals and achieve success, discipline plays a crucial role. Pooja College of Education expects its students to adhere to the following rules and regulations to maintain discipline and decorum:
Attendance Requirement:
- A minimum of 75% attendance in lectures, tutorials, and practical classes is mandatory for appearing in exams.
- Students who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirement (calculated based on the combined schedule of theory and practical hours) will not be permitted to appear in the final exam.
Absence from Classes:
- If a student fails to attend classes without leave for more than seven days, their name will be struck off from the college rolls.
Notice Board Compliance:
- It is the responsibility of all students to regularly check the notice board for important information and instructions.
- Non-compliance with instructions will not be entertained.
College Restrictions:
- Pooja College of Education is a strictly non-smoking zone.
- Any form of ragging or sexual harassment will lead to immediate expulsion from the institute.
Classroom Timeliness:
- Students are expected to be in their respective classrooms before the lecturer arrives for the scheduled session.
Fines:
Students will incur fines for the following:- Micro Teaching: Rs. 50 per day for non-participation.
- Real Teaching: Rs. 100 per day for non-participation.
- House Examinations: Rs. 100 per exam.
- Sessional Exams: Rs. 200 per exam.
- Lecture Fine: Rs. 10 per lecture.
- Non-Attendance of College Activity: Rs. 200 per activity.
- Non-Attendance of Morning Assembly: Rs. 20 per day.
- Improper Uniform: Rs. 50 per day.
- Mobile Use in Classroom/Library: Rs. 50.
- Library Fine: Rs. 1 per day after the due date.
- Late Fees: Rs. 50 per day after the due date.
Revised Examinations:
- If a student deposits a fine, they must still appear in the revised sessional exam as fixed by the college.
Defaulter List:
- In case of continuous default for seven days, the student’s name will be struck off from the college rolls.
Behavior Towards Staff:
- Students must maintain respectful behavior while dealing with both teaching and non-teaching staff.
By adhering to these rules, students contribute to creating a disciplined and successful academic environment.
